bestfriend!ashton would demand you teach him how to braid hair, claiming all the youtube tutorials he’s watched were too hard to follow, that he was more of a “hands-on” learner and you were to be his teacher. with a huff, you’d pat the floor next to where you were sitting on the ground and face ash so that you both sat cross legged, knees bumping together. selecting a piece of your hair, you’d prompt ashton to do the same and fail to hide a smile when you caught sight of the determined look on his face. you’d slowly teach him how to maneuver his fingers (”y/n my fingers are too big for this i give up” “oh shut up you idiot, you just weren’t doing it right… here, watch me”) and encourage him as he gradually grasped the pattern, easily picking up french braiding like he’d known it for years. with an impressed smirk, you watched ash as he stuck his tongue out of the corner of his mouth and stared at the ground as he braided one half of his hair back. triumphantly, he’d tie the braid and immediately start on the other side, quickly insisting after he’d finished that that he was to braid your hair. he knew you were a sucker for people playing with your hair so he paid delicate attention to smoothly brush his nails against your scalp when gathering scraps of hair and keep himself in check when you moaned quietly in response. after he’d finish creating a replica of his own hairstyle, he’d beg one of the boys to take a picture of you two and within minutes, it was circulating the internet with the caption “look, we’re twins! my best friend is the best braiding teacher EVER!!!!”
